KNTK magazine is a conceptual magazine exploration. The title of the publication was derived from an abbreviation formed from the sound of shortening the phrases kinetic, k-network, and k-fanatic. The magazine’s content is centered on diving deep into the world of the Korean music scene. Featuring different themes per issue, it seeks to provide content for global fans of Korean music that gives them a closer look into their favorite artists, the culture of Korea, and artists and genres they may not already be familiar with. The magazine embraces energetic and expressive layouts in order draw the eye of K-Pop audiences that are accustomed to the maximalist vibrancy of the genre. With generally teen to young adult audiences, the magazine acts as an homage to a fan made scrapbook that is full of stickers, doodles and personality.
Here, the front cover doodles are hand drawn in illustrator and allude to a bandana print, which is a popular style motif of the cover’s artist, G-Dragon.
